Retrofit wiring harness - AN82.61-P-0001-01VB
- Disconnect on-board, brown line (br) from ground (center console) (W12).
The ground point is located below the radio recess.
- Insulate brown line (br) and strap down at the on-board wiring harness (7).
Brown line (br) is no longer required.
- 3.1 If available, remove black 2-pin connector with fiber optical cables from black, 44-pin radio connector (8).
- 4 Put on-board wiring harness (7) with black, 44-pin radio connector (8) into right footwell.
- 5 Separate black, 44-pin radio connector (8) from on-board wiring harness (7) using side cutting pliers.
Antenna line must not be cut. Black radio connector (8) is no longer required.
- 6 Set branch-off line (9) of vehicle's on-board wiring harness (7) to one side for further processing.
Branch-off line (9) has a brown (br) and a red/blue line (rt/bl) with a line cross section of 1.5 mm2 each.
- 7 Insulate brown line (br) and strap down at branch-off line (9).
Brown line (br) is no longer required.
- 8 Set branch-off line (10) of vehicle's on-board wiring harness (7) to one side for further processing.
Branch-off line (10) has a pink and blue/white line with a line cross section of 0.75 mm2 .
A yellow, a brown, and a brown/red line with a line cross section of 0.5 mmm2 .
- 9 Connect red/blue line (rt/bl) of new radio voltage supply wiring harness (6) with the aid of a solder connector (12) to the red/blue line (rt/bl) of the branch-off line (9).
- 10 Connect pink line (rs) of new radio voltage supply wiring harness (6) with a voltage distributor (11) to the pink line (rs) of the branch-off line (10) in order to make it possible to attach another voltage distributor (11) later on.
The yellow (ge), brown (br), blue/white (bl/ws), and brown/red (br/rt) lines will be connected at a later point in time.
- 11 Route black, 6-pin connector for radio and navigation unit (A2/56) of radio voltage supply wiring harness (6) into the radio recess.
On vehicles with code (423) 5-speed automatic transmission (NAT) or with code (427) 7-speed automatic transmission, the radio voltage supply wiring harness (6) has to be routed below the startlocking cable (13).
- 12 Connect brown line (br) of radio voltage supply wiring harness (6) to ground (center console) (W12).
Black, 6-pin connector of radio voltage supply wiring harness (6) will be connected and fixed into position at the radio and navigation unit (A2/56) at a later point in time.
