1. Route the wiring harness for the illuminated door sill molding (10) in the vehicle interior.

   The white marking on the wiring harness must be positioned at the white marking in the vehicle interior (arrow).

2. Route the branch-off line from the wiring harness for the illuminated door sill molding (10) through the left-side passage into the rear fuse box (18) in the trunk. Connect this line to fuse carrier 18. Insert a 7.5 A fuse.

3. Unplug the connectors at the left (S17/3) and right (S17/4) door contact switches and then plug them into the connections on the adapter from the wiring harness for the illuminated door sill molding (10). Plug the connectors from the wiring harness for the illuminated door sill molding (10) to the door contact switches.

4. Connect the converter (7) to the wiring harness for the illuminated door sill molding (10) as shown in the picture. Secure it in place with a piece of self-adhesive felt.

5. Secure the wire with connector (2) for the illuminated door sill molding (1) in the recess with adhesive tape as shown in the picture (arrow).

6. Plug the connector (2) into the wiring harness.

   The illuminated door sill moldings (1) must be connected before voltage is supplied to the vehicle.
