| 1 | Buffer basic data from instrument cluster (A1) in STAR DIAGNOSIS | When installing new instrument cluster (A1). | |
| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory | AD00.00-P-2000-04A | ||

| 2 | Remove trim of instrument cluster (1) | AR68.10-P-3511R | |
| 3 | Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit | ||
| 4 | Remove bolts (2) from instrument cluster (A1) | ||
| 5 | Pull instrument cluster (A1) out of the instrument panel (4) until the electrical connector (3) is accessible | ||
| 6 | Release and unplug electrical connector (3) and remove instrument cluster (A1). | ||
| 7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 8.1 | Read fault memory, erase if necessary | Only if the instrument cluster (A1) has not been replaced. | |
