Battery cut-off relay, location/task/design/function - GF54.10-P-4200R

  Battery cut-off relay, location The battery cutoff relay (K57)  is located on the floor of the trunk towards the partition wall next to the vehicle power supply control module (N82/1).   
  Battery cut-off relay, task
  • To separate or connect the on-board electrical system battery (G1)  and the starter battery (G1/4)  in parallel.
 
  Battery cut-off relay, design The battery cutoff relay (K57)  consists of:
  • Flat plug connections
  • Folding anchor
  • Iron core with coil
 
  Battery cut-off relay, function If the coil with iron core is supplied with power, the folding anchor is moved and the contacts of the main circuit are closed. As soon as the coil is no longer supplied with power, the folding anchor returns to its starting position and the contact is opened again.
