Designations

IMPORTANT As of 01.09.02 the following designations have changed

IMPORTANT In the event of a crash the airbag control module (N2/7) sends a message to the control module for motor electronics (ME-SFI) (N3/10) (gasoline engined model) or the control module for the Electronic Diesel System (EDS) (N39/2) (diesel). The control module then cuts off the engine.

IMPORTANT The vehicle-sensitive seatbelt lock sensor (A60) constantly monitors the acceleration and inclination of the vehicle. If one of these values exceeds the permissible threshold value, the seat belt pull out of the driver's/front passenger's seat is locked. This locking is triggered by the left front seat adjustment control module with memory (N32/1) and right front seat adjustment control module with memory (N32/2) which actuates the seat belt lock solenoid for the left front seat (Y96) and seat belt lock solenoid for the right front seat (Y96/1)
