Relocking, function - GF80.20-P-4012S

The relocking feature prevents the vehicle from being unlocked when the remote control key  is actuated unintentionally.

After the vehicle has been unlocked with the remote control key the PSE control module (combined) (A37)  starts a waiting time of 40 seconds. After expiration of this waiting time the vehicle is again locked pneumatically by the PSE control module (combined) (A37)  if one of the following does not occur previously:

• door or trunk lid opened, or
• emergency unlocking function triggered, or
• interior CL switch actuated, or
• remote control key inserted into the key opening in the electronic ignition/starter switch control module (N73) 

• (Only , ). The relocking feature is inactive if the vehicle is unlocked before or after actuation of the remote control key with a lock switch.
• If the "Unlock vehicle" button is pressed again on the remote control key before the waiting time has expired the waiting time is reset and restarted (maximum 10 times).
• The anti-theft alarm (ATA)  is activated by the relocking feature.
