The reinforced side wall construction (arrows) prevents flat spots and therefore flexing of the tire if a loss of pressure occurs.
Steering forces, braking power, and driving power can therefore be transferred if the tire is unpressurized.
If the tire becomes damaged (loss of pressure) the vehicle can be driven up to 20 km at a maximum speed of 80 km/h.
Dunlop DSST tires can be installed and removed without special tools in the same way as with conventional tires.
Use of Dunlop DSST tires is only permitted in combination with the tire pressure monitoring device (TPM).
