Removing and installing lumbar support air cushion from front seat backrest - AR91.25-P-1445M

MODELS 220.0 /1 except CODE (404b) Multicontour backrest driver seat except CODE (405b) Multicontour backrest passenger seat except CODE (433) Left dynamic seat, incl. multicontour seat except CODE (434) Right dynamic seat, incl. multicontour seat

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove front seat backrest (1) up to 31.8.02. AR91.10-P-1060M 
    As of 1.9.02. AR91.10-P-1060MB 
2 Remove tensioning element from front seat backrest   AR91.10-P-1910E 
3 Remove head restraint raise/lower motor (M27m4/M28m4) NOTES Push motor to right first and then remove downwards  
4 Place front seat backrest (1) onto a suitable underlay with the backrest cover (2) facing downwards    
5 Pull backrest upholstery (2) out of clip groove (arrows) at bottom of backrest frame (3)    
6 Pull out rubberized fiber matting (4) lug (arrows) at bottom of backrest frame (3)    
7 Detach lugs on reinforcement plate (5) from spring wire of backrest frame (3) NOTES Do not damage lugs.  
8 Pull reinforcement plate (5) with air cushion (6) out of backrest frame (3) IMPORTANT Lift backrest frame (3) with spring wire from backrest upholstery (2) with rubberized fiber matting (4).  
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Perform lumbar support function check
