| 3 | Unscrew screws (1) and remove trailer recognition control unit (N28/1) | ||
| 4 | Unlock and remove black, 20-pin coupling (2) on trailer recognition control unit (N28/1) | ||
| 5 | Disconnect the black, 6-pin coupling (3) from the trailer recognition control unit (N28/1) | ||
| 6.1 | Remove sheet metal clip-type nut (5) on the left and right of the trailer recognition control unit (N28/1) removed and place on the new trailer recognition control unit (N28/1) | ||
| 7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| Inspect | |||
| 8 | Perform function test of light signals at the trailer hitch socket. | ||
