	Remove/install
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge	All models	AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Turn steering to the side where the repair is to be performed
2	Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit	On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
3	Raise vehicle with lifting platform		AR00.60-P-1000GZ
4	Remove front section of fender liner in left front fender or front section of fender liner in right front fender		AR88.10-P-1310GZ
5	Remove bolt (1) and pull left front rpm sensor (L6/1) or right front rpm sensor (L6/2) out of steering knuckle	Installation:  Replace bolt (1).

6	Disconnect electrical connectors (3) at body socket
7	Disconnect electrical connectors (3) from each other (arrows B)	Disconnect electrical connectors carefully.
8	Remove rpm sensor line (2) on the left or right side of the vehicle from the brackets (arrows A)	Installation:  Make sure that lines for rpm sensors are routed correctly. Route rpm sensor lines without crossing over.
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Read out fault memory and erase
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
		STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
