Function 

Following a malfunction shut-off  caused by a recognized malfunction, the heater goes to the malfunction interlock state. In this case it is necessary to reset the malfunction interlock  after eliminating the cause of the malfunction. The stationary heater can be started  again only in this manner.

• Malfunction interlock reset 

  The malfunction interlock can be reset by switching off the heater and switching it back on again with the timer or the radio frequency remote control.

• Malfunction interlock reset (as of 09/96) 

  The malfunction interlock can be reset with the hand-held tester (HHT) as of 09/96.

• Malfunction interlock reset following malfunction switch-off due to overheating or electro-magnetic interference 

  In the event of a malfunction interlock caused by the heater overheating or by electro-magnetic interference, the malfunction interlock can be reset after eliminating the cause of the malfunction simply by interrupting the power supply. This can be accomplished by momentarily removing and reinstalling fuse 20 (F1f20).
