Standing lights actuation 

Function requirements 

• Circuit 30 ON
• Rotary light switch in standing lamps position

Standing lamp actuation function sequence 

The position of the rotary light switch is read in directly by the front SAM.

The front SAM sends the switch-on request via the interior CAN (CAN B) to the rear SAM and to the trailer recognition control unit.

The front SAM actuates the following components:

• Left standing and parking lights and right standing and parking lights
• Left front side-marker lamp and right front side-marker lamp

The rear SAM actuates the following components:

• Left taillight and parking light and right taillight and parking light
• Left rear side-marker lamp and right rear side-marker lamp
• Left license plate lamp and right license plate lamp

  The trailer recognition control unit actuates the following components via the trailer hitch socket (13-pin):

• Trailer standing light
• Trailer license plate lamp
