Location 

The overhead control panel control unit is located in the front section on the dome.

Task 

The overhead control panel control unit has the following tasks:

Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals 

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

Direct line 

The following components and signals are read in by the overhead control panel control unit via a direct line:

Moreover, the following switches are read in via a direct line in model 463.202/303:

Interior CAN 

The signals are read in by the overhead control panel control unit via the interior CAN.

The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).

Evaluating input factors 

The input factors are evaluated by the microprocessor and the corresponding components are actuated.

Control of systems 

The overhead control panel control unit actuates the following systems:
