Location

The door ambiance illumination is located in the panel of the respective vehicle door.

Location

The center console ambiance illumination is integrated into the front paneling of the center armrest.

Task

The ambiance illumination is used for the need-based illumination of the vehicle interior in the area of the vehicle doors and the center console in darkness.

The door ambiance illumination is actuated as follows:

Left front door ambiance illumination by the left front door control unit (N69/1)
Right front door ambiance illumination by the right front door control unit (N69/2)

Model 463.236/237/270/271/341/346:

Left rear door ambiance illumination by the left rear door control unit (N69/3)
Right rear door ambiance illumination by the right rear door control unit (N69/4)

The center console ambiance illumination is actuated by the front signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1).
