Location 

The turn rate sensor is located on a bracket behind the hand brake lever.

Task 

The turn rate sensor measures the turn rate about the vertical axis, the lateral acceleration and the longitudinal acceleration of the vehicle.

The turn rate sensor sends the recorded data over the drive train CAN (CAN C) to the ESP control unit (N30/4).
