Transfer case electric actuator motor, location The transfer case electric actuator motor (M46/2) is located at the rear of the transfer case.
Transfer case electric actuator motor, task The electric actuator motor (M46/2) operates the actuating wheel in the transfer case.
Transfer case electric actuator motor, design The transfer case electric actuator motor (M46/2) is composed of the following components:
  • Casing and bi-directional 12V DC motor with sliding contacts
  • Worm gear
  • Hall sensor

Transfer case electric actuator motor, function After receiving a shift signal from the transfer case control module (N15/7), the rotor of the DC motor turns from the starting position to the final position. The rotary movement of the rotor is stepped-down via the worm gear, redirected 90°, and transferred to the actuating wheel.
