  Purpose The flame monitor (A6r3) is a low resistance PTC resistor whose resistance changes depending on the flame temperature.
It monitors the formation of the flame and the flame behavior over the entire heating operation.
From its signals the control module recognizes:
  • Flame formation when heater starts up and
  • flame behavior during entire heating operation.
