	Removing
	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
1	Remove rear wheel
	Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary		AP40.10-P-4050G
2	Remove lock screw (122)	Installation:  Replace securing bolt (122)
3	Release parking brake and detach brake drum (119)	Should it prove impossible to remove the brake drum (119), turn back the automatic adjuster to release the brake shoes (53a): ↓
		Adjust automatic brake adjuster.	AR42.10-P-0169-01GG
		Clearance of brake shoes	*BE42.10-P-1001-13A
4	Unhook lower return spring (124) and press back the brake shoes		Figure
5	Remove screw (77) and remove automatic adjuster (53a)
	Install
6	Install automatic brake adjuster (53a).	Position automatic adjuster (53a) in center of brake carrier plate's elongated hole. Tighten screw (77) lightly. Apply light coating of grease to screws (1). Snap thrust piece (2) into screw notches (1).

7	Insert brake shoes into thrust piece grooves (2) and attach lower return spring (124)	Check lower return spring (124) is correctly seated.

11	Install rear wheel
	Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary		AP40.10-P-4050G
	Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work	Before starting engine, actuate brake pedal several times until the pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A
12	Push down brake pedal several times	Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.
