Location

The door contact switches are located on the corresponding rotary tumblers in the door lock of the doors.

Task

The door contact switches sense the opening status of the doors and transmit it discretely to the rear SAM acquisition and actuation module (N10/2) as well as to the converter for the entrance/exit lamps.

Design

The door contact switches are designed as normally closed contacts (when the vehicle doors are closed the switch contacts are open).

Function

When the vehicle is open, the associated ground door contact switch transmits a corresponding input to the rear SAM and to the input of the converter of the entrance/exit lamp.
