Turn signal lamp malfunction in headlamp housing - AF82.10-P-2014C

Damage code Cause Remedy  
82 158 74 Contact problems between turn signal lamp socket, turn signal lamp and headlamp housing. IMPORTANT Replacement of the entire headlamp in the event of warranty or goodwill will not be recognized.  
  IMPORTANT Contact between turn signal lamp socket and headlamp overheated and burned because contact pressure is too low and transition resistance too high. IMPORTANT Install turn signal lamp socket including wiring harness only in the event of complaint. Perform repair only on the affected vehicle side  
    1 Disconnect ground cable from on-board electrical system battery.

    2 Remove turn signal lamp socket (E1e5, E2e5) from headlamp housing  
    3 Check outer contacts of turn signal lamp socket for damage (burned contacts)
IMPORTANT If contact damage on headlamp is visible:

    4 Disconnect electrical connector (2) from headlamp housing.  
    5 Disconnect actuation line (1) for turn signal lamp from electrical connector (2).
↓
 
    Remove contacts from sensor's laminated contact connector.
NOTES Open lock (3) to prevent contacts from being destroyed.
IMPORTANT Right side of vehicle: pin 4
Left side of vehicle: pin 4

    6 Close up empty chamber of connector (2) with blind plug from repair kit.  
    7 Install actuation line (1) for turn signal lamp in plug housing (4, pin 2) of repair kit.
IMPORTANT Before inserting actuation line (1) check single-conductor seal for damage.
IMPORTANT Reclose locking catch (3).
 
    8 Connect plug housing (4) with connector (5) of repair wiring harness.
IMPORTANT Plug should snap in audibly.
 
    9 Screw terminal (6) of repair wiring harness to right front ground (W2) and/or left front ground (W9).
IMPORTANT Do not use ground W3/1 as this is solely reserved for the SBC hydraulic unit.
 
    10 Install turn signal lamp socket (E1e5, E2e5) in headlamp housing.  
    11 Connect electrical connector (2) to headlamp housing.
IMPORTANT Ensure that seal is seated properly in electrical connector (2)
 
    12 Fasten repair wiring harness with two cable ties along original wiring harness.
IMPORTANT Select mount so that noise is prevented.
 
    13 Connect ground cable to on-board electrical system battery.

    14 Check lighting system for proper function.
