	Remove/install
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1.1	Remove the front section of the lower engine compartment paneling	Vehicles with gasoline engine	AR61.20-P-1105T
1.2	Remove front section of soundproofing bottom sections	Vehicles with diesel engines	AR94.30-P-5300T
2	Push notch (2) up using screwdriver and pull connector (X62) out of bracket (1) in direction of arrow
3	Disconnect connector (X62).
4	Unclip electric lead from retaining clamps	Installation:  Ensure lines are installed correctly.
5	Remove bolt (6a) from chafe protection (3)		*BA42.30-P-1001-01A
6	Pull rpm sensor (L6/1, L6/2) out of steering knuckle (5)	Installation:  Pay attention to installation position. The chafe protection (3) must be mounted on the front rpm sensor (L6/1, L6/2). It must not be mounted between the rpm sensor (L6/1, L6/2) and steering knuckle (5), otherwise the rpm sensor (L6/1, L6/2) will not deliver an rpm signal.
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Read out diagnostic trouble code memory using STAR DIAGNOSIS and erase if necessary	STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
