	Remove
	Risk of death  caused by being drawn into rotating vehicle parts	Do not insert your hand into rotating parts. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Secure area of rotating vehicle components against unauthorized access.	AS00.00-Z-0004-01A
	Risk of injury caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or,  in extreme cases even sever  extremities.	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof.	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Open engine hood		AR88.40-P-1000TX
2	Remove cover on engine front face (1)
3	Remove engine intake air duct (2)
4.1	Mark running direction of poly-V-belt (3).	In case of reusability.
5	Slacken poly-V-belt (3) for compressor and take off	To do this, swivel tensioning pulley (4) in anti-clockwise direction at serration (5). Lock tensioning pulley (4) with a suitable drift (6).
	Checking
6	Inspect belt pulley sections and tensioning device for damage and dirt	Replace according to condition if necessary.
7	Inspect poly-V-belt (3) of compressor	Replace poly-V-belt according to condition if necessary.
	Check poly-V-belt in visible area for wear		AP13.22-P-1352TZ
	Install
8	Fit on poly-V-belt (3) of compressor and tension	Do not use belt wax or similar products otherwise the poly-V-belt may slip. Fit poly-V-belt firstly onto crankshaft in a clockwise direction, see: ↓

9	Install engine intake air duct (2)
10	Install cover on engine front face (1)
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the running engine	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
11	Crank engine and check belt run
