Alternatively the engine lifting device (01) or engine carrier arm (1) can be used.

Put on engine carrier arm 

1. Mount engine carrier arm (1) with its supports on the inner folds of the right and left fender (arrows).

   In the process ensure that the paint on the two fenders is not damaged.

2. Lift engine by the front lifting eye.

Mount engine lifting device 

Observe the manufacturer's assembly specifications and safety information on the engine hoist (01), in order to avoid assembly faults.

1. Mount preassembled engine hoist (01) on the strut towers and longitudinal member.

   When mounting ensure that no lines or hoses are pinched and no paint is damaged in the area of the area of the longitudinal member and suspension strut tower.

2. Adjust the engine hoist (01) and tighten the bolted connections.
3. Detach the hose (1) from the electrical air pump (M33).

   Only on vehicles with engine 271, 272, 273.

4. Mount lifting device (01a) on the front engine lifting eye.
5. Tighten clamping bolt (01b) and raise engine.
