Deployment of emergency tensioning retractor units when no deployment device is present - AR91.40-P-0611-05A

DANGER Risk of injury  caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units. Store airbag units with deployment face on top, do not subject to temperatures of more than 100°C. Disconnect power supply when working on these units.

Use of self-fabricated ignition cable 

  1. Fabricate ignition cable with a length of 10 m with pressure switch.
  2. Attach the 2-pin plug connector to the relevant emergency tensioning retractor unit.
  3. Connect ignition cable to battery.
  4. Press both pushbuttons simultaneously.

    IMPORTANT Keep a distance of 10 m for safety.
