Synchronization of power windows, function - GF72.29-P-4003Q

Normalization means teaching the upper window stop (zero point) into the

Synchronizing 

Completely close window in question with left front power window switch (S20/1s1), right front power window switch (S20/1s2), left rear power window switch (S20/1s3), right rear power window switch (S20/1s4), passenger-side power window switch (S21/2), left rear power window switch (S21/3) or right rear power window switch (S21/4).

Continue to actuate left front power window switch (S20/1s1), right front power window switch (S20/1s2), left rear power window switch (S20/1s3), right rear power window switch (S20/1s4), passenger-side power window switch (S21/2), left rear power window switch (S21/3) or right rear power window switch (S21/4).

The left door control unit (N69/1), the right door control unit (N69/2) or the rear control unit (N22/6) (on model 209.3) or the soft top mechanism control unit (N52) (on model 209.4) sets the location counter for the Hall signals to zero if it recognizes a blockage of the left front power window motor (M10/3), the right front power window motor (M10/4), the left rear power window motor (M10/5) or the right rear power window motor (M10/6) for min. 0.3 s.

IMPORTANT Normalization is prerequisite for:

Renormalization 

Renormalization is accomplished automatically when there is an error in the position recognition, for example, if the position counter indicates a negative status.

Denormalization 

Denormalization occurs when:

IMPORTANT Normalization does not take place when the thermo-switch is actuated in the left front power window motor (M10/3), right front power window motor (M10/4), left rear power window motor (M10/5) or right rear power window motor (M10/6).
