  2. Unclip blue retaining clip (15) out of the black, 2-pin MOST connector (14).

IMPORTANT It must be ensured that the fiber optical cable module (8) in chamber 1 (input) is installed (see arrow). If this is not the case, install fiber optical cable module (8) from chamber 2 in chamber 1.

  5. Unclip blue retaining clip (15) out of the black, 2-pin MOST connector (13).
  6. Release locking tab and remove fiber optical cable module (9) from chamber 2 (output) of black, 2-pin MOST connector (13) and install in chamber 2 (output) of black, 2-pin MOST connector (14).

IMPORTANT MOST connector (14) is from MOST wiring harness ordered.

  7. Install blue retaining clip (15) into the black, 2-pin MOST connector (14).
  8. Clip black, 2-pin MOST connector (14) into MOST connector housing (11).

IMPORTANT MOST connector (11) is later connected to the navigation processor.

  12. Route fiber optical cable module (8, 9) along existing lines and secure using adhesive strip of felt.

NOTES Risk of fracture! Do not kink optical waveguide, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optical cable and do not compress with clamps or tie straps.

IMPORTANT Routing of fiber optical cable module (9) illustrated using code (819) 6-disc CD-changer.

On vehicles without CD player with changer (in luggage compartment) (A2/6) the fiber optical cable module (9) ends in another control unit.

However, this does not have any effect on the functioning of the navigation processor (N41/1).
