Owing to the precise tolerances the vehicle should not be subjected to an alignment check after the steering knuckle has been installed

	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  caused by body parts being jammed or crushed. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by brake fluid spraying out at high pressure when working on the SBC brake system	Deactivate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS.	AS42.46-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	When working on the front-end assembly, be careful not to scratch, mark or notch the surfaces of aluminum parts. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected
Installation	Tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components only when vehicle is in the ready-to-drive condition.
1	Remove front wheel
	Remove and install wheels		AP40.10-P-4050Z
2	Remove hexagon collar bolt (61a) from front axle shaft (60)	To detach the front axle shaft (60), screw in the hexagon collar bolt (61a) again by a few turns if necessary, and then knock out the front axle shaft (60) slightly using a rubber hammer.	AR33.30-P-0620-05P

5	Detach left front rpm sensor (L6/1) or right front rpm sensor from steering knuckle (5) and unclip line from steering knuckle (5)
6	Detach brake line bracket from steering knuckle (5)
7	Press tie rod joint (10a) out of steering knuckle (5)		AR46.40-P-0200-02IW

10	Detach torsion bar link rod (23) from steering knuckle (5) and pull out	Installation:  Counterhold the ball joint of the stabilizer bar link rod when tightening so that the rubber boot does not twist or get damaged.

11	Remove steering knuckle (5); when doing so, move front axle shaft (60) out of front axle shaft flange	Avoid damaging the rubber boots on the front halfshaft (60) and the support joint (7).
12	Install in the reverse order
