Remove/install hydraulic line of power steering - AR46.25-P-3015MA

Hydraulic line (pressure line) power steering pump to separation point

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/Install     
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin or eyes caused by hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid. Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
DANGER Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
NOTES Before opening the hydraulic system the area surrounding the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system    
1 Open engine hood   AR88.40-P-1000M
2 Remove left engine intake air duct upstream of the air cleaner housing    
3 Remove left side of air cleaner housing   AR09.10-P-1150LA
4 Remove expansion reservoir for power steering pump and Active Body Control   AR46.25-P-1000MB 
5 Unscrew union nut (5) from power steering pump IMPORTANTSPECIAL TOOL Seal line connections with plugs.  
    SPECIAL TOOL Set of plugs Figure
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1020-01C 
6 Raise vehicle with lifting platform    
7 Remove engine compartment paneling IMPORTANTInstallation:  Only after function test and leak test is complete. AR61.20-P-1105M
8 Unscrew bolt (2) of bracket of pressure line (1) on left engine mount and remove bracket TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1024-01C 
9 Unscrew bolt (3) of bracket of pressure line (1) to oil pan TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1015-01C 
10 Loosen union nut (4) and separate pressure line (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1017-01C 
11 Take out pressure line (1) upwards    
12 Install in the reverse order    
13 Fill power steering pump and bleed   AR46.30-P-0010N 
14 Check power steering for proper operation and hydraulic line connections for leaks
