Check the function of the lighting signals at the 13-pin trailer hitch socket (X58), for example, with a lighting bar (1).
- Check left and right direction indicator lamp.
- Simulate the failure of the left or right direction indicator lamp.
The flashing frequency of the indicator lamp in the instrument cluster must double.
- Check hazard warning system.
- Check standing lamp.
- Check backup lamps.
- Check stop lamp.
- Check rear fog lamp on trailer.
The rear fog lamp on the vehicle must not come on.
- Simulate failure of the rear fog lamp on the trailer.
The rear fog lamp on the vehicle must light up.
- Assign fuse plug position (55) in the rear fuse box (F4) with a 30 A fuse.
- Check continuous voltage connection (circuit 30) at the 13-pin trailer hitch socket (X58) for voltage.
- Remove 30 A fuse from fuse plug position (55) in the rear fuse box (F4).
