	Remove
1	Open trunk lid (9)
2	Remove cover (1)
3	Pivot trunk lid (9) slightly downward	Until stop buffer (7) is accessible.
4	Unclip stop buffer (7)	Always unclip stop buffers (7) from left and right hinge lever
5	Carefully open trunk lid (9) up to mechanical end stop	Telescopic spring (2) is now free of tension
6	Unlock retaining spring (6) on ball socket head (4)
7	Insert trunk lid support (9)	Support.	Fig 2
8	Remove ball socket head (4) from hinge lever and unhook telescopic spring (2) at bottom
	Install
9	Hook telescopic spring (2) in at bottom and press ball socket head (4) onto hinge lever	Before installing new part unlock retaining spring (6) of ball socket head (4)
10	Arrest retaining spring (6) of ball socket head (4)	Ensure that retaining spring (6) of ball socket head (4) is arrested correctly.
11	Remove trunk lid support (9)	Support.	Fig 2
12	Pivot trunk lid (9) slightly downward
13	Clip stop buffer (7) into left and right hinge lever	If the stop buffer (7) is not seated tightly, replace.
14	Install cover (1)
15	Close trunk lid (9)
	Check
16	Check whether trunk lid opens correctly.	The trunk lid must open completely and should not swing back more than max. 4 cm after reaching the end position. ↓
		Adjust telescopic spring tension on trunk lid	AR88.50-P-5200-05M
