The vehicle can be locked and unlocked with the remote control key  . There are two operating modes for the "Unlocking  " function: "Universal unlocking" and "Selective unlocking". In the "Universal unlocking" mode all doors, the tank flap and the trunk lid are unlocked. In the "Selective unlocking" mode only the driver's door and the tank flap are unlocked. In both operating modes the anti-theft alarm (ATA)  is deactivated.

The "Unlocking" function can be triggered by pressing the "Unlock" button on the remote control key. The remote control key can be set in such a manner that the first actuation is either "universal" or "selective".

The turn signal  lamps flash once to indicate successful unlocking. If the "Unlock" button is pressed again on the remote control key following "selective unlocking" the vehicle is unlocked "universally".

The "Locking  " function can be started by pressing the "Lock" button on the remote control key. All locking points are locked and the ATA is activated. The turn signal lamps  flash three times to indicate successful locking.
