Remove/install rear bumper - AR88.20-P-2200PB

REMOVING Remove    
1 Loosen paneling on left in trunk   AR68.30-P-4600PB
2.1 Loosen paneling on right in trunk Except code (810) Sound system AR68.30-P-4600PB
2.2 Remove resonance element With code (810) Sound system AR82.62-P-7839PB
3.1 Disconnect PTS connector, rear bumper (X35/28) With code (220) Parktronik system  
4 Unscrew screws (8) on both sides    
5 Unscrew nut (7) on both sides    
6 Remove left vapor seal    
7 Remove spreading clips (2) on both sides of rear inner fender    
8 Unscrew screws (3) on both sides    
9 Leave rubber mount (10) at mount (6) and loosen from muffler IMPORTANT Check rubber mount (10) before installation, replace if necessary.  
10.1 Loosen nut (11) on both sides on adjustment bolts (12) With code (550) Trailer coupling  
10.2 Unscrew nuts (9) on both sides except CODE (550) Trailer coupling  
11 Remove bumper (1)    
INSTALLING Install     
12 Install bumper (1) IMPORTANT When moving in, ensure that mount (4) is pushed into guide (5) on both sides.  
13.1 Install nuts (9) and tighten. Except CODE (550) Trailer device  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut for rear bumper on rear center section
IMPORTANT Move bumper until the edge of the bumper (1) is flush with the edge of the rear fender. Check bumper gap dimensions (1), correct if necessary Refer to:↓

13.2 Place nuts (11) at the adjusting bolts (12) and tighten With code (550) Trailer coupling
IMPORTANT Place nuts (11) only up to the point, that it remains possible to twist the adjustment bolts (12). Adjust uniform gap on bumper (1) with adjustment bolts (12).
IMPORTANT Move bumper until the edge of the bumper (1) is flush with the edge of the rear fender. Check bumper gap dimensions (1), correct if necessary Refer to:↓

14 Mount rubber mount (10) at muffler    
15 Screw in bolt (3) on both sides    
16 Install spreading clips (2) on both sides on rear inner fender    
17 Install vapor barrier on left side    
18 Screw in nuts (7) on both sides    
19 Screw in bolt (8) on both sides TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw with washer for rear bumper on fender *BA88.20-P-1005-01A 
20.1 Connect rear bumper PTS connector (X35/28) With code (220) Parktronik system  
21.1 Install resonance element With code (810) Sound system AR82.62-P-7839PB
21.2 Install paneling on right side of trunk Except code (810) Sound system AR68.30-P-4600PB
22 Install paneling on left side of trunk   AR68.30-P-4600PB
