Glue sliding tape onto outside mirror paneling - AR88.70-P-9040-01P

Fold outside mirror (1) toward front by hand and secure with mounting wedge (2) against folding back.

Clean gluing surface (shaded area) on outside mirror paneling (4).
Gluing surface (shaded area) must be absolutely free of grease and dust. Observe air drying time for cleaning agent.

Loosen sliding tape (3) on rear of carrier foil (3) and position at top of outside mirror paneling (4).
Completely remove carrier foil (5) from sliding tape (3) and press firmly to outside mirror (4) with aid of clean and soft rag.
Firmly press on sliding tape (3).Otherwise optimum adhesion of sliding tape (3) is not ensured.
Check whether sliding tape (3) is correctly glued all the way around and if air bubbles are present.

Remove mounting wedge (2) and fold back outside mirror (1).
