- Apply parking brake
- Slacken and remove twelve-point collar nut (12) for attaching rear axle shaft.
Mount on and secure
Replace twelve-point collar nut (12). In order to guarantee that the twelve-point collar nut is held securely.
- Tighten twelve-point collar nut (12)
.
- Use caulker to secure twelve-point collar nut (12) with no residual gap between the groove and the securing tabs (arrow).
- Release parking brake.
