Pressing out and pressing in right front axle shaft - AR33.30-P-0620-02P

Pressing out

Mount chain (060) on pot of front axle shaft (60).
Ensure that the chain (060) is attached as close as possible towards the front axle gear (50).
Press out front axle shaft (60) using a suitable tool (061).
Hold front axle shaft (60) and move slightly if necessary so gearing does not become jammed.

Do not damage the rubber boots and rpm sensor rotor. Cover steering knuckle and front axle carrier with cloths if necessary.
Detach chain (060).

Pressing in

Check circlip in the groove of the front axle shaft (60) and replace if necessary.
Press in front axle shaft (60).
In the process align the joint almost horizontal so that the splines do not tilt over.

The ball joints must not be pulled apart. Push joints back together again if necessary by pushing and turning front axle shaft (60) in direction of joint. Ensure that front axle shaft is pushed correctly into the front axle gear (50) (all the way in).
