Fault code description for fuel injection valves, ME-SFI - AD07.61-P-4000-10AA
| Fuel injectors (Y62y1 to Y62y6) | |||
| 1 | Fault code | P201D Cylinder 1 (Y62y1) | (P0201) |
| ( |
P2021 Cylinder 2 (Y62y2) | (P0202)
| P201F Cylinder 3 (Y62y3) | (P0203) | ||
| P201E Cylinder 4 (Y62y4) | (P0204) | ||
| P2022 Cylinder 5 (Y62y5) | (P0205) | ||
| P2020 Cylinder 6 (Y62y6) | (P0206) | ||
| 2 | Fault storage | after expiry of test duration and fault | |
| Actuation of the engine diagnosis indicator lamp (EURO3/4) or CHECK ENGINE (MIL) malfunction indicator lamp |
following two successive driving cycles with faults
| 3 | Checking frequency | Continuous | |
| 4 | Checked signal or status | Current/voltage test on respective fuel injector | |
| 5 | Fault setting conditions Limit values |
||
| Short circuit to ground | Voltage lower than 2,5 volts | ||
| Short circuit to +12V | Current higher than 4,2 amps | ||
| Open circuit in wiring | No voltage on fuel injection valve Approx. 4 to 8 V on under no load output of the ME control unit |
||
| Checking duration | approx. 1 seconds | ||
| 6 | Check prerequisites | Battery voltage between 8 and 17 V | |
| 7 | The actuation of each fuel injector is tested for line interruption and short circuit (to ground or battery voltage). A short circuit to ground and a line discontinuity will be recognized when the output stages are locked, while a short circuit to the battery voltage is recognized when the output stages are conducting. The output stage is immediately no longer activated when a fault arises. |
||
| 8 | In the event of a short circuit to ground, the corresponding fuel injector is continuously open. | ||
