REMOVING Remove    
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects. Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
DANGER Risk of injury from grazing or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.		 AS00.00-Z-0017-01A
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Raise vehicle.    
2 Disconnect rear muffler of series system behind bracket with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS chain pipe cuter at a right angle IMPORTANT Cut line measured from bracket dimension A:180 mm.
Attach AMG rear muffler with connector precisely to the series system. Mark end of pipe of AMG rear muffler on standard system. A distance of dimension B: approx. 60 mm should exist between both markings. If necessary, correct position of cut point accordingly. Cut through exhaust pipe and carefully deburr cut edges.		  
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Chain pipe cutter *WH58.30-Z-1001-04A 
3 Unhinge rear muffler of series system and remove IMPORTANT The suspension rings of the series system are no longer required.  
REMOVING Install     
4.1 Make tail pipe cutout on AMG rear apron using the templates supplied. IMPORTANT Grind the cut edge and paint in the vehicle color.  
4.2 Attach tailpipe cutout to series rear apron according to own independent measurement IMPORTANT A template for the tailpipe cutout is not included in the package.
IMPORTANT Grind the curt edge and paint in the vehicle color.		  
5 Clean connecting point of combustion and corrosion residues.    
6 Slide hose clamp onto AMG rear muffler    
7 Attach AMG center muffler onto series system IMPORTANT Install AMG rear muffler using the reinforced suspension rings supplied.  
8 Align the AMG rear muffler and install without tension to the series system using the hose clamp NOTES Ensure that the tail pipes are parallel and have adequate clearance to the rear apron.  
INSPECT Check     
9 Inspect installation position and clearance of exhaust system IMPORTANT The exhaust system must be mounted free of tension, align exhaust system if required.  
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near engine Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.		 AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
10 Conduct engine test run and inspect exhaust system for leaks
