Routing wiring harness
Tie wiring harness at suitable points after installation.
- Route trunk lid emergency release wiring harness (1) along present wiring harness to left hinge lever as shown in drawing.
Connector (2) should extend out of opening approx. 15 cm.
- Route trunk lid emergency opening wiring harness (1) as shown in drawing to ground, left rear wheelhouse in trunk (W6) and to SAM control module with fuse and relay box in rear (N10/2).
- Connect cable (BN) to ground, left wheelhouse in trunk (W6).
- Unlock connector 21 (arrow) and unplug from the SAM control module with fuse and relay box in rear (N10/2).
- Strip off approx. 80 mm of insulation of wiring harness.
- Dissassemble coupling and connect cables of wiring harness.

GN Pin 15 (with SKT)
BNYE Pin 16 (with SKT)
- Assemble coupling and connect to SAM control module with fuse and relay box in rear (N10/2).
Connecting wiring harness

Connect fuse holder (fuse 7.5 A, RDVT lead) to plug position 20 of SAM control module with fuse and relay box in rear (N10/2).
On vehicles without code 540a (electric roller blind for rear window)
- 8.2 Cut off fuse holder (fuse 7.5 A, RDVT lead) at wiring harness. Connect cable (RDVT) with cut-clamp connector to existing cable (RDVT) of fuse 20.
