Machining trunk lid lock - AZ88.50-P-0003-01P

  1. Turn selector drum (10) on trunk lid handle (8) clockwise to stop.

  2. Actuate trunk lid handle (8) (open) and turn selector drum (10) clockwise to stop.

    IMPORTANT When removing selector drum (10), a pin (12) located below the selector drum (10) can fall out (see magnified section). Bracket (11) turns clockwise.

  3. Remove selector drum (10) upward from trunk lid handle (8).

  4. Carefully separate arrest (see arrow) on selector drum (10) using side cutters so that it is flush with the edge.

    NOTES Do not damage selector drum (10) when working with side cutter.

  5. Carefully remove edge on selector drum (10) with file.

  6. Insert pin (12) into mount (13) on trunk lid handle (8) as shown in illustration.

  7. Install selector drum (10) on trunk lid lock (8).

    IMPORTANT The hole (see arrow) should be located in the selector drum (10) above the pin (12).

  8. Turn selector drum (10) counterclockwise to stop.

  9. Install trunk lid contact switch (S88/6) in trunk lid lock (8).

    IMPORTANT The socket on the trunk lid lock (8) as well as the trunk lid contact switch (S88/6) are coded mechanically and can only be installed in one position.
