Remove/install rear shock absorber - AR32.25-P-0110A

MODEL 129, 140, 170, 202, 203, 208, 209.3/4, 210 

Shock absorber model 129, 170, 202, 203, 208, 209 and model 210 with steel suspension

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/Install     
DANGER Risk of death.  Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
NOTESInstallation  Replace self-locking nuts and bolts.    
1.1 Detach upper shock absorber mounting IMPORTANT On vehicles with steel suspension.
IMPORTANT The vehicle must be standing on its wheels when removing the upper shock absorber mounting.		  
    SPECIAL TOOL Model 170, 202, 208, 210 Fig 3
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 129, 170, 202, 203, 208, 209, nut (75p) *BA32.25-P-1001-03A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 129, 170, 202, 208 nut (75a) *BA32.25-P-1002-03A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 210 nut (75a) *BA32.25-P-1003-03B 
1.2 Detach upper shock absorber mounting IMPORTANT On vehicle with ADS (adaptive damping system).
IMPORTANT The vehicle must be standing on its wheels when removing the upper shock absorber mounting.
Model 140, 210 with ADS (adaptive damping system)
counterhold piston rod with Allen wrench (SW5).		  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 140, 210 nut (75e) *BA32.25-P-1001-03B 
2.1 Remove plate (75b) and rubber mount (75c) Model 129, 170, 202, 203, 208, 209, 210 with steel suspension  
3 Raise vehicle.    
4.1 Remove rear axle switch for roll bar Model Series 129 up to 08/95 ra91001290860x
5 Remove spring link cover (72c).    
6 Detach damper (75) from spring link TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 129, 170, 202, 203, 208, 209 *BA32.25-P-1003-03A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 140, 210 *BA32.25-P-1002-03B 
7.1 Remove attaching parts (75k, 75d, 75f, 75i) of shock absorber (75). Model 129, 170, 202, 208, 210
INSPECT Check attaching parts (75d, 75f, 75i) for damage and cracks.		  
8 Shock absorber inspection   AR32.25-P-0121A 
9 Install in the reverse order
