No special switchover of units is required because the trip computer (TRIP) adopts the settings and codings from the instrument cluster (A1).

The units of measurement can be changed from miles to kilometers (or vice versa) on the instrument cluster (A1) by selecting "Settings" in the "Instrument Cluster" submenu on the multifunction display (A1p13) using the multifunction steering wheel.

The only requirement is to preset the unit of measurement used to monitor the distance (kilometers or miles). The other units that are relevant for the trip computer (TRIP) are then converted automatically.

UK gallons or US gallons are coded via the national version using STAR DIAGNOSIS.
