Average speed, function - GF54.50-P-2009P
MODEL 203.0 /2 /7 as of 1.7.02 up to 23.4.04
Average speed "Since start" (short-distance memory), function
Average speed "since reset" (long-distance memory), function
The "Since start" and "Since reset" displays for the average speed can be activated using the system selection button (S110s3) and scroll forward/back button (S110s1) of the multifunction steering wheel. The following information is required:
- Travel time -calculated internally in the instrument cluster (A1).
- Travel distance -determined by the 4 wheel speeds. The ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5) passes the wheel speeds to the instrument cluster (A1) as a message on the class C (engine compartment) controller area network bus (CAN-C).
It is completely normal for the "Since start" display (short-distance memory) and "Since reset" display (long-distance memory) to show different values, since the two displays are based on different sets of data. The "Since start" display (short-distance memory) basically responds more accurately to the current driving situation than the "Since reset" display (long-distance memory).
