Garage door opener, function - GF68.05-P-0001SK
MODEL 171.4 with CODE (231a) Garage door opener
Overall description
The garage door transmitter unit (A26/10) has a learn-in feature. It is installed in the housing of the overhead control panel control module (N70). It is possible to activate various receivers for opening and closing systems for doors and gates with the buttons (A26/10s1, A26/10s2 and A26/10s3)
Function prerequisites:
- Terminal 15R ON or
- Circuit 15 ON
Programming mode
If one of the buttons (A26/10s1, A26/10s2 or A26/10s3) is pressed for longer than 20 s, the system changes to the learn-in mode of the corresponding memory location. This is indicated by flashing of the garage door opener indicator lamp (A26/10e1).
The desired transmission frequency can now be learned in by holding and actuating the manual transmitter for the garage door directly in front of the garage door opener transmitter unit (A26/10).Termination of the learn-in procedure is indicated by rapid flashing of the garage door opener indicator lamp (A26/10e1).
It is possible to program up to 3 transmission frequencies. One transmission frequency can be assigned to one button (A26/10s1, A26/10s2 or A26/10s3).
To protect the vehicle battery, the garage door opener transmitter unit (A26/10) switches off automatically in the programming mode if learn-in has not been performed after approx. 90 s
Erasing mode
The entire memory is erased by simultaneously actuating the two outer buttons (A26/10s1 and A26/10s3) for longer than approx. 20 s Successful deletion of all memory locations is indicated for approx. 10 s by the garage door opener indicator lamp (A26/10e1) flashing rapidly.
Deleting individual memory locations is accomplished in the same manner as the programming mode, however, without learning in a new transmission frequency
Transmitter mode
If one of the buttons (A26/10s1, A26/10s2 or A26/10s3) is actuated, the signal learned in for this memory location is transmitted and activates the associated garage door. If more than one button (A26/10s1, A26/10s2 or A26/10s3) is pressed simultaneously, the transmission requests are performed individually in sequence
Signal has a range of approx. 15 m.
Variants
Two garage door opener transmitter unit (A26/10) versions can be used:
With code (494a) USA version:
- Frequency range 280 to 390 MHz
With ECE version
- Frequency range 27 to 433 MHz
The garage door opener transmitter unit (A26/10) should be programmed in the ECE version in the frequency range permissible for the corresponding country.
When delivered, the national coding is set for Germany
Garage door compatibility - Garage door opener
A list with compatible systems is included in the passenger car sales manual. If the system is not compatible with the garage door opener transmitter unit (A26/10), a universal receiver (Fix Kit Receiver), which modulates the radio signal, can be installed in the garage.
