Remove/install bulbs of headlamp unit - AR82.10-P-1201VA

MODEL 171.4 with CODE (614) Bi-xenon headlamp unit

	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by high voltage levels present at xenon headlamps. Risk of explosion/fire hazard  through highly flammable material in the area of damaged xenon bulbs. Risk of injury  through UV light, hot components on xenon headlamps and glass splinters when xenon bulbs burst. Risk of poisoning  through inhalation of mercury vapor and swallowing of or skin contact with toxic salts and mercury compounds.	Do not come into contact with parts that are under high voltage. Persons with active electronic implants  (e.g. heart pacemakers) must never work on xenon headlamps. Switch off complete lighting system. Wear insulating safety shoes, safety glasses and protective gloves. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Ensure that the workplace is sufficiently ventilated.
	The procedure for changing the bulbs for the standing lamps, turn signal lamps and high beams is described in the operator's manual
1	Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit
2.1	Turn the front wheels to the right as far as possible	When removing left low beam (E1e2).
2.2	Turn the front wheels to the left as far as possible	When removing right low beam (E2e2).
3	Remove the nut (1) and the screw (2) at the front part of the fender liner (3)
4	Move the front section of the fender liner (3) downward until the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2) can be accessed from the rear.
5	Turn housing cover (4) to left and remove	Installation:  The lettering "TOP" must face upwards.
6	Release and remove xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n2) or xenon headlamp ignition module (E2n2)	The direction of rotation for releasing is shown on the lettering for the xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n2) or the xenon headlamp ignition module (E2n2). The electrical connector (5) is detached automatically. Installation:  The direction of rotation for locking is shown on the lettering on the xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n2) or on the xenon headlamp ignition module (E2n2). After locking it, connect the electrical connector (5).
7	Release securing clip (6) and remove left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2)	Do not touch the left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) with bare fingers. Handle the glass bulb only with a soft, clean cloth. Note installation position of left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2).
8	Install in the reverse order
9	Perform function test of left front lamp unit (E1) and right front lamp unit (E2)
