	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury from grazing or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts	Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts. Deburr repair panels.	AS00.00-Z-0017-01A
1	Raise vehicle with lifting platform	Position arms of lift platform in such a way that bolts (5/1) of the rear diagonal struts (5) are accessible.
2	Remove rear section of lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105R
3	Disconnect connectors for O2 sensors and unclip electrical feed lines from clamping brackets		AR14.00-P-5303R
4	Support exhaust system (1) with transmission jack and transmission plate		*WE58.40-Z-1030-11A
			*WE58.40-Z-1018-11A
5	Unscrew bolts (11/1)	Installation:  Install new bolts (11/1).

6	Cross strut (35) of frame floor Detach	Secure sliding block (10) with cable strap to prevent it from falling out.

7	Remove rear diagonal struts (5)		*BA62.30-P-1004-01A
8	Detach center exhaust rubber mount (9/1)	Installation:  Screw on the retaining bracket of the RPM sensor line.
9	Push down rear exhaust rubber mounts (9/2) off retaining clips (8)	To simplify removal: Apply liquid lubricant to retaining clip (8) and in the hole of the rear exhaust rubber mount (9/2).

10	Take out complete exhaust system (1)	Do not damage rear bumper. Tilt exhaust system 45° about longitudinal axis.
11	Detach cross strut (35) from exhaust system (1)	If necessary
	Checking
12	Check rivet nuts in exhaust manifold for damage; replace if required.		AR49.10-P-5531-01DA

13	Check exhaust rubber mounts (9/1, 9/2) for wear and damage, replace if required.
14	Install in the reverse order
15	Inspect installation position and unobstructed movement of all parts of the exhaust system (1)	The exhaust system (1) must be installed free of tension.
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the running engine	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
16	Carry out an engine test run and check the exhaust system (1) for leaks
