Function sequence
The driver-side SAM control unit (N10/10) reads in the "Left parking lamp" or "Right parking lamp" position of the rotary light switch (S1) and relays the corresponding signal via CAN-B to the rear SAM control unit (N10/8) or passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11).
Left parking lamp
The driver-side SAM control unit (N10/10) actuates the left standing lamp and parking lamp (E1e3) in the left front lamp unit and relays simultaneously via CAN-B the signal "Left parking lamp On" to the rear SAM control unit (N10/8).
The rear SAM control unit (N10/8) actuates the left stop lamp, taillamp and parking lamp (E3e9) in the left taillamp.
Right parking lamp
The driver-side SAM control unit (N10/10) relays the signal "Right parking lamp On" via CAN-B (CAN-B) to the passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) or rear SAM control unit (N10/8).
The right standing and parking lamp (E2e3) in the right front lamp unit is actuated by the passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) and the right stop lamp, taillamp and parking lamp (E4e9) in the right taillamp is actuated by the rear SAM control unit (N10/8).
