The information call is triggered manually by the driver. By selecting the corresponding menu (info service) on the telephone handset a connection is automatically established to the Mercedes Customers Assistance Center (CAC) from the telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver, D2B (A35/17) via the mobile telephone system (GSM 900 MHz). This voice-only link can be used to request all the available information related to the vehicle at no charge.
