MODELS 230 up to 31.5.04 with CODE (855) TELE AID 

A telediagnosis call only be triggered manually

• with the aid of the pushbutton switch on the telephone handset (A34), if it is pressed for more than 2 seconds.

An emergency telegram is then generated in the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17) and is transmitted via radio to the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center (CAC).

Emergency call priority 

If an emergency call with a higher priority is already active when an emergency call is triggered, this call is terminated. The emergency call with the lower priority is not started.

If an emergency call with lower priority is already active when triggering, this call is interrupted and the emergency call with the higher priority is started.

Highest priority:

1. automatic alarm call
2. Manual emergency call with SOS pushbutton (S93/3)
3. Telediagnosis call using relevant button on telephone handset (A34)

   Lowest priority:

4. Information call via a corresponding menu at the telephone handset (A34)
