MODEL 230.4 as of 1.7.04 with CODE (359) TELE AID emergency call system with CODE (494) USA version

In order to use these services, a communications module authorized for a given service must be present in the emergency call system control unit (N123/4). This means that, as a first step, the communications module in the emergency call system control unit (N123/4) must preconfigured at the factory with the telephone number of the corresponding service provider. In a second step, the user must be authorized with this telephone number in the service center. This authorization is also pre-completed to a certain extent at the factory.

The telematics services are activated by pressing the corresponding button in the MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6) or by placing a manual emergency call by pressing the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) in the overhead control panel control unit (N70). After the services are activated, the emergency call system control unit (N123/4) sends an SMS to the service center. Once an SMS has been sent, a voice connection to the service center is immediately established.

IMPORTANT Misuse of emergency call alarm is subject to punishment!
