	Checking
1	Switch on ignition and check tire pressure monitor warning lamp (6)	If installed. The tire pressure monitor warning lamp (6) must light up. If there are problems: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.
2	Check coolant temperature display (1) and coolant temperature warning lamp (2)	The pointer of the coolant temperature display (1) must indicate the corresponding coolant temperature and the coolant temperature warning lamp (2) must light up. If there are problems: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.
3	Check fuel level and reserve indicator (5)	The pointer of the fuel level and reserve indicator (5) must indicate the corresponding fuel level in the fuel tank. If there are problems: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.
4	Check upshift gearshift recommendation lamp (10)	If installed. The upshift gearshift recommendation lamp (10) must light up. If there are problems: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.
5	Manually switch on the exterior lights
6	Check instrument illumination	All pointer instruments (1, 3, 4, 5) must be illuminated and the background illumination for the existing displays (7, 9) must be activated. If there are problems: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.
7	Turn brightness control for instrument illumination and reset button (8)	The instrument illumination must then turn dimmer or brighter to match the button used. If there are problems: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.
8	Check displays (7, 9) for visible pixel errors	If the displays (7, 9) exhibit vertical strips, missing segments or black dots: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.
9	Manually switch off exterior lights
10	Switch on lamps in passenger compartment and check for proper operation	Check inside rearview mirror, reading, mirror and glove compartment lamps. If there are problems: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.
11	Switch off lamps in passenger compartment and ignition
